Podcasting with Drive and Blogger

On August 31, 2015 Google announced that one of the services that this process depends on has been deprecated, and will be discontinued on September 1, 2016.  The process described here is now a short-term solution.

You can use Google Drive and Blogger to host a podcast.  Use Google Drive to store the MP3 files and Blogger to create and publish the podcast episodes.  The initial configuration will take a few minutes.  Once configured, creating a podcast will be quick and easy.
  1. Set up Drive (one-time)
  2. Set up Blogger (one-time)
  3. Post in Blogger
These YouTube videos show you how to do it.

You could do something similar by uploading files to a Google Sites page with a file cabinet, but there is a file size limit on Sites.  There is no practical limit with Drive.
